On 21st March 2008, LGE stated clearly 3 "NO" to the media :-- NO to be addressed as a YANG BERHORMAT (YB)
- NO to acceptance of State Awards
- NO to occupying the Official Residence of the Chief Minister i.e. Rumah Tetamu
LGE talks about CAT - competency, accountability and transparency, the following 6 questions demand for all the above.
The questions were as followed:-
1. Why there exist a huge different of RM270,000 between the actual repair cost versus the estimated repair cost?
2. Which department was involved in the estimation of the repair cost?
3. What was the result of the investigation conducted by the Chief Minister office? (LGE had committed to an investigation in his press statement)
4. What was the actual cost?
5. Is it necessary to lodged a ACA report because of the possible elements of lies and falsifying?
6. Will disciplinary action be taken against those that had been negligence?

P.S.
1. The post was taken from a press release by Sdra Thor Teong Ghee, Sdra Oh Tong Keong, Sdra Mah Nai Hock and myself on Sunday, 27th July 2008, 11 am.
2. A dateline had been conveyed to LGE through the press that by 4th August 2008, Sdra Oh will lodged an ACA report on the above matter if not satisfactory answers were received from LGE.

Good questions, but HKL, they are the same asked by LGE, like you agreed too. So why so stupid to reask the same questions.
If you want answers then make ACA report against the department that made those estimates, why ask LGE who wasnt the one who came up with the figure?
Infact it was an officer from the era of KTK. It goes to show what kind of officers KTK and UMNO has groomed.
This is the world we live in, the corrupted people ask the honest people why no action taken against the corrupted people.

Did LGE say he didn't want to move into Rumah Tetamu ever? I believe he didn't want to move in because of the estimated RM300K repair cost but since the actual repair cost is much lower that's why he moved in. You already know the reason so why do you still ask as if he did not give a reason?
Anyway, I think this is a small matter and has been rectified and corrected (state gov didn't pay RM300K in the end) so this issue has low priority. But it would be good to investigate who is actually responsible for giving such a poor and outrageous first estimate. So go ahead and report to ACA.

We are just assisting LGE in his CAT principles.
If we decides to lodge an ACA report, it can be deem as for his behalf not against him.
Some people talk only, but dare not do.
If his answers are unsatisfactory, we will request ACA to assist LGE to find out the answers for all those questions.

Same reason as Rocky Bru, but I took an earlier & a much longer break.
At the Penang Stadium, LGE failed to impress me as a political leader, I went home after just about 10 minutes as many also did.
