Wireless@Penang - Lack of Political Will and Vision (Part 1)

The action of the Penang state government to bulldoze thru the Wireless@Penang shows a clear lack of political will and vision. Lim Guan Eng and co. had jumped in and join the wireless broadband bandwagon advocated by the Federal government.

Trying to be the leading state in Malaysia for the implementation of Wimax demostrates this lack of political will and vision - it had easily succumb to the pressure of the profiteers, etc.

This lack of political will and vision signify that the DAP government is no better that the BN government. In fact, it is weaker, while BN propose, the DAP or Pakatan Rakyat merely followed foolishly.

This government lack the ability to generate, to invent, to create and to formulate new ideas and policies.

It's political mandate will be short.....

P.S: I attended the Wireless@Penang forum, it was merely another "sandiwara". If the forum was genuine, then expert opponents to telcos and wifi should also be invited. It was a lame effort to hide the government unaccountability and lack of
transparency.

At least they have the guts to implement the ideas. So far, there is no medical proof to link wifi to any illness. I will agree with you if you are saying the telco towers has the high risk that could be co-related with some illness but not wifi.

If you are so worried about the wifi causing the illness, then it will be better that you go to Jelutong sea front, take your handphone and throw them into the sea. Handphone generates more stronger waves than the wifi does.

Lack of political will goes down well with your Party but not the present state government.

I will challenge you to share your ideas on how to build a better Penang rather than preying on the present government and jump on them each time you think it will give publicity.

no conclusive medical proof to link wifi to any illness do not means that there is none, years ago it was claimed that smoking will not cause cancer, now everyone agreed that it will cause cancer.

Anon 4.16pm,

If I were to tell you that blogging or putting comments in blogs will cause ergo injury in long run, will you stop doing this right NOW ?

In short, there maybe a lot of hyphotesis and until they are proven to be true, it has to be given the benefit of doubts.
