Penang Chinese Town Hall deputy chairman Datuk Lam Wu Chong said Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, and Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng were among the dignitaries invited for the PCTH's annual Chinese New Year open house which will be held from 10.30am to 1pm on Jan 27.But, also on show are Chingay, lion dance performances and the divisive politics of the Penang DAP government.
PCTH's cultural cum tourism events such as Chinese New Year open house had always received support from the previous government.
Unfortunately, the current DAP Penang government gave lame excuse of lack of fund to support PCTH. Can't the government allocate a few thousands ringgit for this event?
Or is there other ulterior motive?
PCTH is perceived as not kowtowing to the DAP government or not Pro-DAP.
