DAP Government: Reduce Jobs in Penang

Instead of creating more jobs in Penang. The Penang DAP government is doing the reverse - REDUCE JOBS.

Recently, the Chief Minister office(based on Sinar Harian report dated 24 Feb 2009) directed about 80 entrepreneurs to vacate their business premises within 4 days.

These businesses are the lifeline of the tourism industry in Batu Feringghi.

The premises affected were from Rasa Sayang Resort to Bayview Beach Resort Hotel, about 5 kms. Most of these businesses had been in operation for more than 20 years.

The locals of Batu Feringghi livelihood depend on tourism, most locals work in the resorts or at these various tourism related businesses.

At least 500 locals will lose their jobs or "periuk nasi (rice bowl)".

Remember victimization of non-Pakatan Rakyat supporters are priority NO. 1 for the DAP government!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

P.S.: The "tidak apa' attitude of Lim Guan Eng towards jobs creation & unemployment crisis in Penang is sinful. For example, many Intel workers expect LGE to discuss their predicaments and future with the senior execs of Intel US - it had yet to be done. Is it because DAP had trapped themselves with their 308 campaign of "Exchange Rice With Tapioca"?

Haven't been to your blog in umpteen months because of your refusing to see the bigger picture but talking shit for partisan politics.

Accidentally clicked on a link which brought me here and surprise surprise, NO SURPRISES! Still talking partisan shit!

I wonder who is worse? The evil doers or the gutless shitheads who toe the party line when they damn well know who are the main causes of problems for this country!

Makes me want to puke for supporting them in the past!!!

Fool me once shame on you. Fool me twice shame on me!

2 wrongs wont make a right.
Getting fooled by different people still makes you a fool.
I pity those who get fooled unnoticedly.

Can you deny what I wrote?

NO!

You think that you are neutral, & taking the middle ground. Are you sure?

Facts are facts!!!

I wrote what is happening on the ground!

If you want to hear sweet stories about the Penang DAP govt, there are none.

Why don't you elaborate on all the successes of the Penang DAP govt here if there are any proven ones!!!!!!!!!

You comment here is totally rhetoric, put some substance in it.

Claiming to support Gerakan is your favourite past time, true supporters work internally to resolve its weaknesses. False supporters run away when there are no "kang tau (opportunities).

What are you true or false?

Sorry to to be hard hitting on you. You are the one that need to see the bigger & complete picture, see all the 3 sides of the coin.

Don't simply hop in and join the bandwagon.

For me, I am a Gerakan bias blogger, so there is no surprise my postings usually provide an alternate views - debunking the views that Pakatan Rakyat leaders are like holymen, saint, demi-god, etc & can do no wrongs.

Yes you are right that I'm no longer of the middle ground. And I will address that very soon, either change the name of my blog or change my "rhetoric", most probably change the name of my blog!

No I cannot deny what you wrote because I do not have sufficient information (don't blame me blame the MSM you guys control)to make an opinion except that I find your partisan attitudes distasteful. And I make no apologies for that!

I won't say much about DAP's handling of the administration but I am fully aware of the sabotage by the civil service but willing to give them at least another term!

Anything is better than the long tentacles of UMNO where the CM of Penang has to be subservient to your political masters (and a young upstart at that)!

And don't you ever DARE to accuse me of "kang tow" again by being a past supporter who ran away when the going got tough!

Ask your president who I am! I gave the better part of my life supporting your president and your party.

I served my state of Penang and my country for 10 years in an unenviable post (without pay) because of my friendship to your president and understanding the burdens he carried then!

I have no problems with your president or your party socially buy I have huge problems with your party's subservient role to UMNO!

I'm angry now because I expected more from "a party with conscience" but where is the conscience now when ordinary Malaysian are crying out for change? Change from all the corruption, cronyism and nepotism?

Unfortunately you still don't see it yet that your party is lending legitimacy to the hegemony of UMNO/BN rule!

The very people who are taking this country of ours backwards have not yet learned their lessons and you guys are not helping much.

Imagine, for me who was so close to your president can now turn against him and your party must speak volumes!

LISTEN!

I'm not perfect and can be emotional many times. At least I have no party allegiance to toe to and my only interest is to stop this rot perpetrated by the coalition your party belongs to.

Now on a personal matter, would you like to meet up? Just you and me? I promise you no fists but only words and at a time of your place and choosing.

My email add is romerzpg at gmail dot com. If you can't get me there, ask KTK to arrange the meet!

If the mamak who operates illegally are being asked to vacate their possession, does this meant taking away their rice plate ?

What have you as a Gerakan Youth Leader done to protect the economy of Penang ? None and the asnwer you will offer is you are in the opposition. The country and the state need opposition who can provide the alternative solution and ready to take over but if you represent Gerakan, I think the Party need to do a lot of soul searching.

Let me tell you that each time you touch on this issue, you are not helping your party but driving away more fence sitter to the other side of the wall. The strategy is to think how to bring the fence sitter back and your style is definitely not what they are looking for. Perhaps, I am wrong but I do believed majority of the fence sitter does share my view.

Anon 10.30 pm:

The stalls were there for decades. There are always amicable solutions, instead confrontational stand was taken.

Read between the lines, I had suggested an action for LGE to do for the electronic industry.

Put that question to the DAP, when they were in the opposition for decades - there was NOTHING (ZERO, TELOR, ZILCH, KOSONG, TIADA,...) they did for the economy.

At least, Gerakan Youth had put up a website to help in job placement. Although, it still need lots of improvement.

HKL, you are a load of bull shit!! Do you really want to know why Gerakan came to existence and stayed in power in Penang? Because UMNO wanted a mundane and slacker to suck up to it, stay as the broker for non-malay voters, and brokers earn pittance. Gerakan are master "KOW TOWISTS". Learn the truth from veterans in politics. You seems to write well, but I personally think you don't read well enough to understand and rationalize the big picture about what UMNO led BN has done to damage our country. More so, Malaysia has been relegated to the top-from-the-last in most aspects for a NIC trying hard to sustain itself in a competitive global marketplace. Emotive physche from your 'undefined and arrogant' intellligence will not lend to put you in the right perspectives when it come to the moment when you have to "come clean" when faced with 'doing the right thing'. Right now you're simply doing "what needs to be done", just look at how you put your arguments for 'use only' as thrash talk. Typical of what nonsense UMNO led BN government want to shape our youths' thinking and for them to behave so very stereo-type. You speak of the three sides of a coin, and so profoundly, but do really perceive all the three sides? Just flip through today's newspaper, the STAR, SUN, NST, etc., you will find enough evidence, that is if you really know how to 'READ' and rationalize. Even DPM Najib said in today's STAR, Friday, March 20, 2009 UMNO has to change or be changed, etc. It has a column written about an opinion poll concluding on the forthcoming UMNO election. Read what the Malays themselves say about UMNO today. Gerakan got the boot because because it had people like yourself. If you really want the truth read Dr Kua Siong Kia's book on "MAY 13", it's pure politics, strategies, manipulations and the worst of it all, a true form of oppression and suppression. Ask yourself why the Malays who have been notoroiusly partisan and take very seriously to the Malay agenda, shifted the sights and support the HUDUD reformist PAS party? They know that a religious political party is bad business in ruling a country, but still they show that they can rationalize for the long term by strategizing the short term, and they do it better than a shitty party like the 'lintah' Gerakan party. Don't disgrace the Chinese peoples' intelligence through your parochial thinking by screaming murder when you have just lost a marble!! Our children deserve better than an office-boy political party which will eventually buckle when the reckoning comes. Gerakan was challenged to leave the coalition by a division chief from UMNO, what happened? Koh Tsu Khoon tucked his tail between this legs and ran like hell! This is explicit expression that Gerakan cannot take to the stage during the crucial moments. MCA is different because they are the bastion of the Chinese survival in Malaysia. That role cannot be upstaged and compared to that of Gerakan, which claims to a multi-racial party but is strategically impotent. It's role to dilute non-malay votes and favourally produce the win for UMNO led BN coalition. You have the knowledge in this saying, "when the elephants fight, everything thing in between gets trampled". So what has a minnow like Gerakan got to do by getting in the way? GET TRAMPLED!!!! Suck your sore thumb over the truth and get over your childishisms. What separates a boy from a man is what makes him one he wishes to be. In politics, walk the middle ground, be smart, be cruel, be decisive, be cunning, be flexible, be all you need to be, but never be stupid!!
