Death, Resignation & Squabble

After losing Perak, nothing seem to go right for Pakatan Rakyat.

The past few days, news of the following:-

  1. The death of the PAS MP for Bukit Gantang in Perak. Roslan Shaharum dies of heart attack.

  2. The unexpected resignation of an Keadilan Exco and ADUN(Bulit Selambau) in Kedah amidst allegations linking him to a marriage scandal and that he insulted the 'sultan' by bringing his 'second' wife to attend state functions.

  3. The serious arguments between Karpal with the other leaders of Pakatan Rakyat.

The winds have shifted slightly, with the RIGHT candidates for Bukit Gantang and Bukit Selambau and the RIGHT election strategies, it will be difficult, but Barisan Nasional can win both these by-elections.

P.S.: Some Pakatan Rakyat supporters are claiming the "Resurrection" of Perak PR and Nizar thru the death of Roslan Shaharum, must give credit to them - very
imaginative

Are you serious that there is a slight change of wind ? I am worried that you are feeling the wrong wind as it may be someone "passing the wind".

With your VP offering membership to Hee, Gerakan is as good as hammering the final nail into the coffin.

Honestly, I may not be a Pakatan supporters but knowing that many people voted for the "change" in the 308 but they, for sure, never voted for these people to jump. Imagine, if your Youth leader is being asked to move aside and let someone else play the role because he is more favorable to the leader, how will you feel or the voters that voted your Youth leader in felt ? This is exactly how the Perak people is feeling and I hope that you can understand their feelings too and not to look through the looking glass only.

We will definitely know 60 days from now whether your slight wind is still blowing and I hope by then you can still blog about the same topic.

Good luck but I know that it is a road less travelled that you are choosing and in politics, it meant the road of dead ends.

There is the perceived view that there is an increase unhappiness with BN due to the takeover of the Perak govt. I beg to differ.

The takeover that started due to Anwar craze for power, show the true colors of many Pakatan Rakyat leaders. Unhappiness with PR had slightly increased.

Whether BN leaders can capitalized on it, is another matter.

On Hee, read http://hklpenang.blogspot.com/2008/06/nalla-ezam-chandra.html

Your comparing apples and oranges when you gave the example of our youth leader being asked to move aside. As far as I am aware it did not happened in Gerakan.

But, it is happening in DAP. Lim the advisor and Lim the Sec-Gen is pushing for Karpal the Chairman to move aside.

What is your opinion about such DAP leaders?

Refer to the results from MalaysianInsider. I am not sure where you beg to differ in this. The wind has changed !!! Definitely the minority cannot represent the majority but this is only possible in BN.

I cannot comprehend how you link those url to Hee and your factual debate is out of point here. You may blame Anwar on the craze but the fact remains the followings -
a) He did not takeover and form the govt without referencing to the state assembly or the people voices
b) He has offered Badawi to call for a special parlianment sessions but that didn't take place. (I am not sure whether he is playing bluff or otherwise but his method definitely shows the respect for the constitution)

You missed the point again and I suspect you have limited and specialized filter for what you want to see and hear. This is a consistent trade with Gerakan leaders and this is one of the contributing factors of your losses. I am trying to demonstrate how the voters will have felt if your Youth Leader is being sidelined this way, the same of how Hee's voters has felt.

Let the DAP resolved their own matters. At least, it shows there are democracy of opinions within the Party but they are not breaking ranks for NOW. This could be a strength in the future as there is a check and balance. Unlike in BN, everyone is a YES man.

You may have won the battle but you have lost the war.

Bro!

In the last GE, i vote4d in Perak. I know my votes for both Parliament and State seats contributed towards changing the balance of political power in Perak (and consequently, the country).

If there's a replay, I'll vote for change again, only this time that change will take us back to the pre-March status quo.

Why?

The new state govt has proven to be a bunch of amateurs who do not know what they are supposed to do as MPs and Aduns and who certainly don't know what the rakyat want.
