Mr Negative (Lim Guan Eng)

While we would like to give Lim Guan Eng at least 100 days, it is extremely difficult. He seems to thrive on negativities. He is clearly, without any doubt - MR NEGATIVE.

From Day 1 up to today, there is nearly nothing that he said that is positive or inspiring. I believe he does not know what he can do for Penang. He has no vision at all for the future.

The best way out for him, is to create as many scandals, conjure up cheap publicities, etc to divert the attention of the rakyat.

Yet, even in revealing so called scandals, Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng needs to get permission from the State Executive Councillors (see nst-online below). I cannot understand this, he must be
  • lacking confidence in himself,
  • a sissy trying to act tough,
  • actually need his father advise,
  • he actually do not have clear proof of any improprieties
If there are really clear proof of any improprieties, Penangnites definitely want it to be revealed.

Penang Government ready to expose shady land deals

By Lee Keng Fatt

16 April, 2008

The Penang Government will go public with alleged improprieties involving land deals committed by the previous Barisan Nasional administration. Chief minister Lim Guan Eng has, however, placed a caveat on this: his State Executive councillors must agree to this move. “I will also only reveal (make public) details about cases that are not affected by ongoing disputes in the courts," he said.

Lim said he would raise the matter at the state executive council meeting today (Wednesday) where the cases will be discussed.

The DAP secretary-general was responding to a challenge last Monday by former deputy chief minister Datuk Abdul Rashid Abdullah to make his allegations public.

Rashid, who held the Land Development and Land Affairs committee portfolio in the previous state administration, was quoted as saying that Lim should not make blind allegations without proof. He had also called on Lim to back up his allegations with facts and figures.

Rashid, who last week had denied knowledge of such allegations, said he was willing to meet Lim to discuss the matter if officially invited to do so.

Lim said he was surprised by Rashid's request as he had been waiting to meet Umno representatives ever since they held a demonstration at Komtar where they asked for a meeting with him.

"First they took to the streets demanding to meet me. Now he says there should be an official letter. Why is he so special?" Lim asked after meeting members of the Penang Chinese Clan Council at his office in Komtar today.

Lim said the state government had no intention of accusing any individual of being involved in land scandals.

"We just want to know more about the shocking land discrepancies that we have discovered. We want to know why premium discounts not in the public interest were given and why land was alienated to big companies without going through a public tender," he said.

Lim said that he was giving Rashid a chance to come and discuss the matter with him. "But if he still wants an official letter, then I will issue an invitation through the media," he said.

Since he took office on March 11, Lim's administration has made several allegations about land discrepancies and a committee, headed by deputy chief minister Mohammad Fairus Khairuddin, has been set up to investigate the matter. The committee has also been entrusted with coming out with new guidelines to avoid a recurrence of such alleged incidents.

I just have a simple question to ask Mr.Lim Guan Eng, the DAP led-State Government.

As far as I'm concern, you keep on saying about the accountibility, free of corruption, transparency in awarding projects and etc.

It has been one month since you took the office. You has been also keep on dig up many problems..

Is that your job by behaving like you are still the oppositions instead of the administer party?

What is your vision & Mission for Penang? How are you going to further develop the economy?

Gosh!! You BN guys must have really been brainwashed beyond repair. Penangites have woken up, but you're still a zombie!!

If the BN predecessors have been clean and not leave so much shit and have not been so irresponsible to take away all the files (evidence of corruption) then the new gov wouldn't have to waste so much time!! Part of justice is to punish those who have commited wrongdoings and not let them get away. Just wait, your CLEAR PROOF will come soon enough, and show how silly you are.

It's not even two months and you're judging LGE? You just don't know how to be fair, do you? Must have learnt that from BN bootcamp.

LGE wants to have clean governance, you say he's not positive.
LGE wants to make Penang dynamic, you say he has no vision.
LGE acting democratic by confering with state exco, you say he lacks confidence and sissy.

Looks like YOU are MR NEGATIVE!!

Mr Fishhook:

If Mr Lim is a Mr Positive he should have started leading the Penang State government on a Positive note. Instead he dwelt on unproven corruption. LGE can assigned his "CHIEF OF STAFF" to do investigation and make OFFICIAL report(s) to the police or ACA.

Till today, nothing, telor, keh nui, zero, zilch,kosong..... No report at all.

LGE just want cheap publicities.

I am Mr Kaki Ampu for Gerakan, you are Mr Kaki Bodek for DAP.
