Wow, I am surprised by what we can report to the police. If this kind of report is accepted by the police, in Penang the civil organisations and NGOs can also lodge police report on broken promises made by Pakatan Rakyat on the MPPP & MPSP councillorship. Easily, we have more that 50 police reports.Anyway, I do not agree to such police reports, just don't vote for the politician(s) or party that broke their promises next GE.

Report lodged over promise
By DHARMENDER SINGH
SHAH ALAM: A 25-year-old unemployed man has lodged a police report against Pakatan Rakyat for failing to fulfil its general election campaign promise to provide a 20% discount on assessment for domestic properties in Selangor.
Mohd Shaid Rosli (pic) lodged the report at about 10am at the Section 7 police station yesterday claiming he felt cheated as he had voted for the coalition after reading about the promises in the copies of the manifesto handed out during the campaign that included the formation of a welfare state and the reduction in assessment.
“The Mentri Besar (Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim) now says that they will not reduce the assessment but will look for other means to reduce the people’s burden but this was not what they promised,” he told reporters when met outside the police station here.
The Ijok resident said he was not a member of any political party but felt compelled to make the report to stop politicians from making promises that they would not keep.
Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Noor Azam Jamaludin confirmed that a report had been lodged but said police could not take any action as no criminal elements were involved and no laws had been broken.
Speaking during a press conference yesterday evening, Khalid said there was no reason for anyone to feel deceived as certain items in the manifesto could only be implemented later.

Parti Rakyat Malaysia Vice-President Koh Swe Yong,Koh said if Pakatan failed to lower assessments, then “it has made the electorate feel that Pakatan Rakyat's promise was merely vote fishing during the election.”

Good advice. I agree to this. That's what I did on 8 March 2008.
Whether PR or BN, I will vote against whoever broke their promises in the next GE13!!!!!
